How it works

You will have access to the platform 30 minutes before the event to research organisations and learn more about their job opportunities. Once the event goes live, head to the Lecture Theatre to view the keynote address and webinars, then visit the employer booths in our virtual Great Hall. You can chat to the representatives, watch videos, and collect points to win prizes! Upload your resume, apply for jobs and join the employer talent pool. This site will also stay on-demand for a month after the live event, so you can go back in to view any videos and resources at your leisure.

Yes, you'll need to fill out the registration form, using your University of Sydney email address, to gain access to the event.
The Virtual International Careers Fair is open to current students and recent graduates from all faculties. However, the primary focus of the fair is connecting international students with local and overseas employers, and for domestic students who want to explore different working abroad options.
We highly recommend you use Google Chrome. Please make sure that your browser is up to date for the best experience. Moreover, make sure to have a stable internet connection and a quiet background to interact conveniently with the employers on the platform.
This is an online event and you can participate anywhere that you have Internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

No. There is no cost to attend the Virtual International Careers Fair or any Careers Centre event.
You will receive an email after you register, which will include your login information. On the day you can login to the Virtual International Careers Fair using these credentials.
Remember to register early, as we will be sending through further details on the organisations attending, and the different ways to interact with employers in the build-up to the event.
No, you can join the careers fair at any time during the event. The platform will also remain open for one month after the live event.
Preparing yourself is the best way to help you stand out from the competition at the Fair. Visit employer websites to research what they do and the opportunities they are offering, identify organisations that interest you most and why, and prepare questions based on your research. You do not have to upload a resume to take part in the Fair. However, we recommend that you do so, as employers will be using these on the day, to search for suitable candidates for their graduate roles.
Anyone who registers will have access to the platform after the event. You will be able to replay any videos and contact employers, for one month after the fair. Note that you will not be able to network directly with employers after the event.
Yes, during the event you can come and go as you wish using the login credentials provided in your registration confirmation email.
No, it’s not required for you to be on video for this event. You can use video to have one-on-one chats with employers but it is not required.
Be aware that, when you participate in the fair and chat with employers, they will be given personal information about you, as well as information included in any resume that you upload to the virtual careers fair platform.
